John Paul II Park

This is a complex comprising an interconnected park and square. The park, situated to the north, acts as a green, acoustic and visual barrier that shields the area from the motorway. It is designed as a pleasant, landscaped promenade that encourages people to relax and enjoy the public space.

To the south lies the square, separated from the park by sinuous, linear concrete benches. Its layout is organised around a promenade defined by pergolas, the most striking of which is the large, pyramid-shaped central one, which gives the whole area a distinctive character. Beneath this pergola, and on either side, are the children’s play areas.
